PENJAB carpet (India), mid 20th century Dimensions : 75 x 54cm. Technical characteristics : silk velvet on cotton foundation. A purplish polylobed medallion is enthroned in the center of an ivory field covered with flowering stems. Wide vegetal border, with ruby and emerald arabesques in positive/negative. Beautiful poetry.
