ISPAHAN carpet (Persia), late 19th century. Dimensions : 200 x 140cm. Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on cotton foundation. A rich fuchsia oval medallion with foliage and ivory heart with polychrome flowers and these pendants, throne in the center of a midnight blue field with ramifications and stems blooming with a profusion of multicolored flowers. Ivory spandrels with richly flowered coral stems. Two old gold borders with garlands of flowers enclose the main fuchsia flowers in full bloom.
