SENNEH carpet (Persia), late 19th century Dimensions : 207 x 132cm. Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on a cotton foundation. A dense stylized multicolored floral trellis covers the navy field, the hexagonal crenellated ivory counter-field and its medallion in navy mandorla and its arrowed pendants. The set is surrounded by a main brick border with a succession of polychrome corollas blooming on plant stems, flanked by three counter-borders, navy and ivory, with garlands of flowers. Pleasant set.
