MELAYER carpet (Persia), end of the 19th century Dimensions : 350 x 160cm. Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on a cotton foundation. A marine field with vegetal lace welcomes a sowing of small multicolored floral compositions, mosaic way. Two brick borders abrachées with garlands of flowers and another external pistachio with undulating stems, frame the main ivory, with succession of corollas opened out on flowered stems in polychromy. Two-colored highlights. Beautiful presence.
