ISPAHAN carpet (Persia), late 19th century Dimensions : 195 x 140cm. Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on a cotton foundation. On a midnight blue field appear multicolored floral medallions, the most important of which are cruciform. Beautiful "mosaic". A beautiful polychrome flowered garland enlivens a navy blue border, itself framed by five flowered and checkered counter borders.
