MELAYER carpet (Persia), early 20th century Dimensions : 190 x 130cm. Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on cotton foundation. With three medallions crenellated and entangled with branches and foliage scrolls of flowers and foliage in polychrome on a brick background, ivory and midnight blue background. Four brick spandrels with decor reminiscent of the central field surrounded by three borders, the main one sky blue with decoration called "Mina Khani".
