Imposing Napoleon III period mantel in griotte red and black marble, partially gilded chased bronze and glass decorated with caryatids, feline masks, chimera protomes, acanthus leaves, oak branches and various friezes. The clock with Roman numeral dial and beveled glass, opens to a rear panel revealing a movement with stamp marked "G.F. 504" and mercury pendulum, the base engraved with lambrequin motifs, and rests on four fluted feet.
